Quality Assurance
We are proud of the services we deliver and the recognition we have been given by our partners, other professionals and services, and the community as a whole. Our service delivery and training expertise are underpinned by a robust and meaningful Quality Assurance Framework QAF (available on request). All of our work benefits from a systematic monitoring and evaluation process in ensuring that high standards and quality continue to be met.
Areas of Expertise
- Workforce Training - to expand workforce skills, knowledge and capacity. To raise awareness around up to date guidelines on the health agenda, to disseminate public health messages and tackle health inequalities.
- Facilitation of Frontline Services - the provision of high quality HIDS services and the support of others in establishing independent sustainable interventions based on targeted needs.
- Community Learning - the provision of community led opportunities for meeting the health and lifestyle needs of individuals in their communities. Enabling them to gain skills, knowledge and confidence, which promote positive lifestyle change and contribute to increased quality of life.
Throughout all areas of delivery we believe that our learners and members of our community have an entitlement to quality learning and participation experiences. Community learning is targeted towards priority communities and vulnerable groups. Consultation with local communities and other providers and partners underpin all our work.
The Quality Assurance Framework QAF ensures the provision of health care education which is robust and meaningful. HIDS has gained a strong reputation for guiding quality in health promotion and community learning locally, regionally and nationally. This framework supports the NHS Plan (DoH 2000) by increasing knowledge and contributing to services, which help people to make informed choices enabling them to sustain healthier lifestyles in combating underlying causes of ill health.
DANOS and other National Occupational Standards
