Alcohol Project WorkerHIDS Alcohol Project Worker can offer:
- Drop in Service in schools and youth settings. Work in youth group settings or youth organisational settings such as Scouts, Guides, cadets, etc.
- One-off sessions, whole day sessions and/or a series of sessions up to 6 weeks based around alcohol and related issues such as Peer Pressure, Media Influences, Health, etc.
- Peer Led Education programmes.
- Parenting workshops covering issues related to Young People and alcohol based issues.
- Early Intervention Programmes.
- Work with 5 to 19 year olds adapting the messages as appropriate.
- Sessions can be tailored to reflect the needs of the audience.
- Provide information about leaflets and posters.
- Teaching packs for Key stage 2 and 3 focusing on risk taking behaviour and its links with alcohol.
- Produce a manned or unmanned display to be used at Parents Evenings, fêtes, Sports Days, Information Sharing events, Health or Safety weeks or days.
- Currently developing schemes of work to address the Alcohol aspects of the drug, alcohol and tobacco education guidance for Key Stages 1, 2, 3 and 4.
- Work along side class teachers or PSHE coordinators to develop drug and alcohol educational opportunities in schools or colleges.
- Work with children/young people in small groups, whole class, year groups or school.
