Portsmouth Salt Campaign

As part of the Food Standards Agency (FSA) drive on salt they allocated funding for local initiatives to coincide with the 3rd phase of the national campaign in March 07. The funding was accessible via a bidding process and HIDS were successful.
 
A multi-agency Salt steering group was established and lead by a Health Development Officer from HIDS. The group planned and delivered many sessions within the Heart of Portsmouth including:

• Poster/slogan competition
• School sessions to develop resources
• BME events/sessions
• Food Analysis
• Older persons sessions
• Celebration event
