Food and Health Resources
A range of resources have been brought together for use by other professionals in the community. Some of the materials have been sourced from the various healthy eating support agencies and others have been developed by the team - all promoting a consistent message of balanced eating. Some of the commercially produced materials are only suitable for use with under 12s, as are our "in house" resources featuring "Harvey". Other resources, such as the "Balance of Good Food" mats and board games are relevant to all age groups.A collection of three recipe booklets has been produced specifically for older people, giving quantities for one or two people. Distribution of these booklets -"Balanced Meals for One", "Quick and Easy Snacks" and "Microwave Cooking for Beginners" - is through our supportive direct work with clients, but the recipes can be downloaded from the fit2eat website.
The "Fit Food Fast" folder has more than 100 healthy easy to follow recipes. The recipes are easy to cook, low cost family recipes printed on A4 size, splash and stain resistant paper held in a loose leaf folder for easy photocopying. For more information see our Fit Food Fast page.
