Training with Healthy Harvey

The Food and Health Group offer a number of training packages that underpin and support the work being done by Harvey. These include:
 
Healthy Lunchbox: Cascade Training
A half-day course for those working with children and parents about introducing Healthy Lunchboxes. For schools, there is also information about introducing Healthy Lunchbox workshops in conjunction with the Healthy Lunchbox Resource Pack.
 
Learning Outcomes

• Have a general understanding of what constitutes a balanced diet
• Be aware of the contents of a healthier lunchbox
• Be able to use the lunchbox workbook with children
• Knowledge of the resources available within the Healthy Lunchbox Resource Pack

Healthy Snacks: Cascade Training
A half-day course about introducing healthier snacks to children of any age, and the Snack Resource Pack available.
 
Learning Outcomes:

• Recognise healthier snack food items
• Be familiar with the range of resource materials available

These training sessions can be offered to various community groups, schools and parents. For schools, it can be a contributing factor to achieving the Healthy Schools status.
