Assisted Shopping
 
This service is provided for older people who are unable to do their own shopping, have a home carer who shops for them or who are socially isolated.
 
Each week our minibus will collect a group of people from their homes, take them to a local supermarket to do their shopping and return them home with their shopping carried in for them. The older people therefore get the opportunity to enjoy some social contact as well as doing their own shopping. It's a veritable social club on wheels!
 
Our minibus has a tail-lift and we are able to offer the service to a limited number of wheelchair users or others who may need one to one support in store.
 
We are currently expanding the service to ten runs a week.
