Fratton Live at Home Scheme
This scheme is a partnership between the Health Improvement & Development Service, Methodist Homes and the local community in the Fratton area of Portsmouth. It is essentially a good neighbour scheme that seeks to provide practical help and social contact through home visits to older people who are isolated or lonely.
At the request of scheme members a social club was subsequently formed. The Friendship Club meets on a Thursday afternoon from 2 - 4pm at the Fratton Community Centre where they enjoy a variety of talks, demonstrations, exercise etc.
Circle of Friends craft group meets on a Wednesday morning from 10am- 12 noon.
New Age Kurling on Mondays 10.30 – 12.00am
Knit and Natter on the first Tuesday of every month, 2 – 4pm.
