Portsmouth Community Allotment
The community allotment was established in 2001 with money from the Health action zone.
Since then we have been funded by the Big Lottery Fund and Healthy Towns. We are based at Milton piece allotments in Locksway Road.

The project aims to help people to share skills and learn about growing fruit and vegetables organically. We hope that people will enjoy the benefits of gentle exercise and fresh air in a peaceful and friendly environment. We have paved access for wheelchairs and a disabled accessible toilet, so we are fully accessible to people with physical disabilities.
We have two workers who organise and plan the allotment and support people who use the project. There are also have a number of regular volunteers who help out. The project is open to local community groups, schools and youth groups. If you work with or are part of a group that are interested in attending then please get in touch. If you have a group you want to refer it is important that you have some helpers who would attend with the group as the staff team's time is limited.
If your group is interested in attending or you would like to volunteer then please contact Tony Keen on 023 9268 8388 or mobile: 07984 154466 or email tony.keen@portsmouthcc.gov.uk.
