Portsmouth Sitting Service

The aim of the service is to provide support for those people who care for an older person or adult with a physical disability in their own home by providing regular flexible breaks. This is to enable carers to devote time to themselves whilst either remaining at home or going out, which lessens the isolation often experienced by carers.
 
It is important to take time for yourself to maintain your own health and wellbeing. It may be that you can go and visit friends or perhaps go to a computer class for a few hours. What ever you decide to do it is up to you, you might want to spend the time sorting out the sock drawer! Remember it is what ever makes you happy!
