Carers Week 12 - 18th June 2006

The theme this year is In Sickness and in Health, reinforcing the notion that for many caring is not about choice. To find out more about the national campaign please visit www.carersweek.org
 
As always Carers Week will be supporting all carers, of every age and from every community. We will be stressing the importance of carers health and emotional well-being. Improving health care provision for the UK's six million carers makes sense not just for carers, but also for every single person who is supported as a result.

"Far too many of the UK's six million carers are not aware of the support and services that are available to them - all of which could make such a difference to there lives. I am thrilled to be supporting such a worthwhile campaign and will be doing everything I can to help ensure Carers Week is a massive success."
