Carers Leisure Library

The Carers' Leisure Library is a hobby and leisure resource for all Carers' in the City of Portsmouth aged from 0-99yrs.
 
We loan anything from jigsaws, story tapes, craft equipment, computers, sewing machines, to Play Stations, dance mats and Karaoke players.
 
The equipment is loaned free of charge for a period of up to three months. We visit many of the Carers Groups that are held throughout the City on a regular basis, some monthly and others every other month. We also visit Carers who are not able to attend any of the groups.
 
The Project was started in October 2002, with a grant from the National Lottery Community Fund, and they have taken a great interest in what we are doing, as this is the first of its kind in the country, even featuring us in their Annual Report.
 
We want to meet the needs of Carers in Portsmouth, to offer fun and interesting activities to fit into the very busy lives of Carers.
